16-year-old baton twirler prepares to dazzle on world stage

DOWNINGTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- With a flip, twirl, and flare, 16-year-old Shay Busza from has earned her spot on the world stage.

Her mom, Alysha Busza, a competitive twirler herself, passed the baton to her at an early age.

Shay earned a spot to represent the U.S.A. at the World Freestyle and Rhythmic Twirl Championship in Paris, France this summer.

Shay and her sister, Sterling, have performed at a high level in the past. They earned a gold medal at the 2022 championship in Holland.

Shay is now hoping to make history again with both a solo performance and a pairs performance.
