We've got a taste of the Mediterranean in this week's Top 6.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- We've got a taste of the Mediterranean in this week's Top 6.

Local chefs are putting new twists on classic recipes and Action News' Jessica Boyington shares some of her favorite dishes.

STINA

For five years now, Stina has been serving Mediterranean mezze at this BYOB in West Passyunk. The twenty-two seats inside fill up each week with customers craving cuisine from Morocco, Greece, Spain (and more), by Chef Bobby Saritsoglou. Don't miss out on the fluffiest pita and Neapolitan pizza cooked in their pizza oven that heats up to a thousand degrees.

What I loved:

-Onion Fritter

-Neapolitan Pizza

-Non-Alcoholic beverages (my favorite was the hibiscus black cherry punch)

-Grilled Octopus

MISH MISH

When asked, the staff at Mish Mish in Passyunk will tell you that the vibe is "Mediterranean in soul" with cuisine meant to be light and easy to take down. The specialty wine list and cocktails are perfect for sipping during "golden hour" in their open air dining room while sounds of 90s hip-hop fill the room.

What I loved:

-Fried String Cheese.

-Blistered Snap Peas Salad with Cilantro vinaigrette and avocado was fresh and crisp.

-Warm Maitake mushroom salad

-Grapefruit Spritz
