PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- AccuWeather: Extreme Heat Warning today

WEDNESDAY: Sunny, hot, and rather humid! It's the peak of the heat, high 100. It's breezy this afternoon with an isolated gusty storm possible, especially north of the city late today. Heat index values will range between 105 and at least 108, which has triggered an Extreme Heat Warning for much of the Delaware Valley.

THURSDAY: We'll have to watch the potential smoke in our region to gauge it's impacts. Another hot day as heat wave #5 rolls on, high 95, feeling over 100!

FRIDAY: We again could see smoke reducing visibility and creating air quality issues. The high heat starts to buckle and humidity drops. Clouds mix with sunshine, high 92.

SATURDAY: Turning a bit unsettled with numerous downpours and thunderstorms. High 83.

SUNDAY: We could see some thunderstorms and downpours, but it does look brighter later in the day. High 87.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny, but still humid, high 89.

TUESDAY: Watch for the chance for a thunderstorm or two, high 88.
