AccuWeather: Unsettled at times today for the Philadelphia region

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Turning warmer for Mother's Day with an evening thunderstorm possible.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy with showers developing during the morning, especially from the city on north. It won't be wet all day, but a broken line of storms may develop later in the afternoon and evening that could produce a severe storm or two, high 68.

TONIGHT: Low clouds and patchy fog in spots. Low 53.

SUNDAY (MOTHER'S DAY): A nice day for all the moms! It's warmer with a mix of sun and clouds, high 80.

A cold front approaches from the west later in the day, which will bring the chance for a spotty thunderstorm.

MONDAY: A wet start to the day with morning rain. We'll turn drier in the afternoon with clouds starting to break for some late sun, high 62.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and nice, high 67.

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy morning with scattered showers developing, high 66.

THURSDAY: Remaining cool with scattered showers, high 65.
