VIDEO: Yelp votes Philly top spot for local shopping

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- For a lot of people, this is the week when holiday shopping kicks into high gear.

And it turns out you couldn't be in a better city to find a great deal from a small business.

Yelp named Philadelphia as the number one city in America for shopping local this holiday season.

The website says it developed its rankings by looking at reviews mentioning the word 'gift' at specific businesses and categories that are popular for the holiday.

Honolulu, Seattle, Oakland, and Portland, Oregon rounded out the top five.
