An anonymous complaint to one mom about her baby posts on social media is getting reaction from parents all over the world.

It's called "oversharenting" and it's the parenting phenomenon sweeping cyberspace.

Oversharenting involves moms and dads sharing very personal parenting moments on very public social media websites.

The parents are so proud, they just want to gush about their little ones - from cute outfits to potty training tales.

But with all this buzz comes a mother lode of backlash.

"I wasn't posting anything horrible or inappropriate," says mom Jade Ruthven.

Ruthven received an anonymous letter in the mail, slamming the first-time mom for posting too much about new baby Addy on Facebook.

The note said: "She crawls off the mat - we DON'T care!" and "She's 6 months old - BIG DEAL!"

"I read it and re-read it again and I thought this has got to be a joke. I felt like I was being bullied," said Ruthven.

But this Aussie mom isn't buckling.

Instead, she posted a scathing letter on Facebook that has since gone viral.

"I was totally shocked. All I wanted to do was just try and shame them out. Little did I know that it would go all around the world."

Ruthven has been flooded with words of encouragement such as: "You have every right to show off your baby." and "...continue being the fantastic mom you are by being present in your baby's life."

"I wasn't going to go sit in the corner and start taking myself off Facebook - the total opposite is gonna happen," she said.
