VIDEO: Saving with 6abc: Earn cash for shopping
The Ibotta app can help users earn even more cash for shopping.

"Ibotta is a free mobile app that pays consumers real money, cash, for buying products in a store," explains Ibotta Founder and CEO Bryan Leach.

He adds that shoppers who spend a few minutes checking out his app before hitting the store can rake in big bucks. "Our users earn on average about $5 every time they use our app. And we have offers that range from 50 cents all the way up to $50."

Here's how it works: you unlock savings by taking a few seconds to learn about products.

Leach explains, "You might read a recipe or a fact, or answer a quick poll question, and then, when you buy those products at the store, you just take a picture of your receipt, or you register your loyalty card in the app, and we send you cash. It's like an instant rebate."

Ibotta users have been paid nearly $8 million, since the app got started a year-and-a-half ago. And the latest version lets you turbo-charge your cash-back through social networking.

Leach says, "We're the first-ever social shopping app in the grocery space. As you invite friends to join you on Ibotta, they become members of your team. And when your team earns, you get an extra bonus of cash. So, the more people you invite to Ibotta, the bigger your team gets and the faster you start to rack up cash."

Best of all, you'll find cash back offers on all sorts of items you're probably already buying. Rebates include $.25 back on milk, eggs, and bread.

Joining Ibotta is free. Click here to download it for iOS or Android devices.
