5 families displaced in Woodbury, NJ apartment fire

WOODBURY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials say five families were displaced after a flames broke out in an apartment building in Woodbury, New Jersey.

It happened around 12:20 Thursday afternoon at the Woodbury Lake Apartments in the 200 block of North Evergreen Avenue.

Crews arrived to find that the flames were spreading.

Everyone was able to get out of the apartments safely and unharmed.

Red Cross officials say they are assisting 17 people, from five families, who were displaced by the fire.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control. No word though what sparked the blaze.
