PLYMOUTH TWP, Pa. (WPVI) -- An elderly man's body was found in a wooded area of northeastern Pennsylvania and police have now charged the victim's son and grandson in his death.

Investigators say the victim 88-year-old Jack St. Onge was killed in his Montgomery County home.

The victim's son 59-year-old David St. Onge, Sr. is facing third degree murder and related charges while the victim's grandson 30-year-old David St. Onge, Jr. is facing charges for lying to police, tampering with evidence and abusing a corpse.

All three shared a home on the 3000 block of Arch Road in Plymouth Township.

According to court documents, David Sr. told investigators that back on June 10th, his elderly father said he was throwing him out.

Police say David Sr. admitted to hitting his father in the head with a flashlight, killing him and hiding the body in a hall closet.

He allegedly told police that he stole his dad's gold jewelry and sold it, using the money to buy food, gas, and heroin.

Authorities say upon returning back to the home, David Sr. cleaned up the crime scene and enlisted the help of his son, David Jr. to dispose of the body.

They allegedly wrapped the 88-year-old's body in a tarp, put it in the back of a Toyota Corolla, and drove to a remote area in Gibson Township, Susquehanna County.

Crews clearing brush found Jack's body along Route 2036 on Friday morning. He was identified using the serial numbers on his pacemaker.

Authorities have labeled the death a homicide and say more charges may be filed pending an official cause of death by the coroner's office.

After appearing before a judge, David Jr. was granted $50,000 bail while David Sr. was denied bail.

Both suspects are scheduled to be back in court next Friday.
