MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A 58-year-old man is charged in connection with sexually assaulting a client at a day care facility for mentally challenged adults in New Jersey.

William Claiborne of Philadelphia, a caregiver at Friends of Cyrus in Delanco, has been charged with third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.

The alleged assault occurred last month, police said, while Claiborne was working with a severely mentally challenged female client.

Police said Claiborne had the client touch him in an inappropriate, sexual manner.

Action News spoke to Claiborne's family members and neighbors Wednesday night who were shocked to hear he was accused of such an act.

"I would have never thought he'd do nothing like that," said Dorothy Price, Claiborne's aunt.

"He's around the neighborhood so I didn't know this was going on, but you never know what's going on in people mind," said neighbor Diane Smith.

Claiborne was taken into custody Tuesday. He is being held in Burlington County on $50,000 bail.

Police suspect there may be other victims.
