Norris Square park community picnic

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- It was a nice afternoon for a picnic, especially one that's become a summer tradition among many residents in Northeast Philadelphia.

State senator Christine Tartaglione sponsored this community get together here at Norris Square park.

Plenty of treats for everyone, young and old, including Rita's water ice.

Tartaglione says this is a great way to not only meet many of her constituents, but to also bring a sense of unity to the neighborhoods of Northeast Philadelphia.

This community picnic has been held here for close to a decade.
