Can taking selfies affect your life insurance?
One company is working on technology that uses facial analytics to estimate your life expectancy.

People across the globe have been beyond obsessed with taking selfies and turning their cameras on themselves.

But here's a reason to think before you hit the flip button.

Apparently, your selfies could affect your life insurance.

A scientist at company called Lapetus Solutions in North Carolina says several life insurance companies are testing their software.

As it turns out, facial lines and contours, droops and dark spots could indicate how well you're aging.

And Lapetus is working on technology that uses facial analytics to estimate your life expectancy.

Insurers use that info to make policies and set pricing.
