A serious crash involving a delivery truck and an SUV shut down I-95 North in Chester early Monday.

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- All lanes have reopened on I-95 North in Delaware County after a serious crash involving a delivery truck and an SUV.

The accident happened at 3:00 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes past exit 6 in Chester.

State police tell Action News a bread delivery truck collided with an SUV, spreading debris all over the highway.

There was no immediate confirmation on the number or extent of injuries, but the Delaware County coroner was called to the scene.

Troopers closed all lanes of the highway between Route 320 and I-476 as they investigated and as crews worked to clear the debris.

All northbound lanes were closed for nearly five hours.

Images from Sky 6 cameras near the scene showed the traffic backup extending for miles, back to the Delaware state line.

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
