Bensalem High School students hold mock election

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Bensalem High School students weighed in on the presidential race during a mock election Monday.

Teachers set up fake voting booths in the auditorium and asked the teens to choose between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Many of them said they have been paying attention to the contentious campaign.

"I think they have some very interesting choices for office, but I voted for who I thought was the best in what we were given," 11th grader Nastassja Williams.

"I think it's much crazier than other years, but it's nonetheless an election and it's going to be great for our country," 11th grader Jessica Yakuvoski said.

"The more they're involved, the better off they're going to be in the future and the better off we are in the future," teacher Anthony Micalizzi said.

The results of the mock election are in: Hillary Clinton received 58-percent of the vote, Donald Trump 32-percent, Gary Johnson 7-percent and Jill Stein 3-percent.
