BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Dana Alyss has gone viral with her campaign to save the Christmas Barn in Bethlehem Township.
Natives remember it as the site of a former family business that peddled holiday magic for several decades.
There, the Swienckowski family sold music boxes, trinkets, ornaments, and more before closing up shop in 2007.
Alyss remembers being away at college when the Christmas Barn closed. She mused about purchasing and restoring the property to its former glory one day.
Fast forward, a career in television and social media content creation propelled Alyss to a following of several hundred thousand across various platforms.
Alyss used her fanbase as fuel to garner support for the cause of saving the Christmas Barn.
The property is listed by The James Balliet Property Group at a recently-discounted price of $1,895,000.
Alyss hopes to raise $200,000 to secure a down payment.
She has already raised more than $27,000 with a GoFundMe page.
"It would, like, reignite Christmas spirit in my soul," she said. "I think it would give me some hope in humanity that, you know, everyday people can come together to save a building."
