Tanker truck on fire on New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- A tanker truck reportedly carrying gasoline overturned and then erupted into flames on the New Jersey Turnpike on Tuesday.

The accident happened near Interchange 11 at mile marker 90 in Woodbridge, on a ramp from the southbound NJ Turnpike truck lanes.

The driver suffered severe burns and is being transported by medical helicopter to the hospital.

Interchange 11 is closed and will be for some time.
