How much snow?
Some areas were reporting a half-foot of snow by the time the storm started moving out of the region.
The numbers had steadily climbed throughout the day as the snow came down for hours on end.

Bitter cold on Saturday
As the snow moves out on Friday, a blast of bitter cold air will move in on Saturday.
Any snow that isn't cleared will freeze overnight with air temperatures dropping to the teens.
We've issued an AccuWeather Alert for Saturday. Morning wind chills will range from 5 to 10 degrees.
Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible.
