A fast-moving house fire injured three people, including two fire fighters. The fire broke out at 3:29 p.m. at a home on the 5600 block of Wister Street.

The flames had started in the basement, and quickly spread to the first and second floors. Fire fighters faced heavy fire and smoke when they arrived on the scene.

Flames also spread to an adjoining home. That home sustained water and smoke damage.

One resident was transported to Germantown Hospital with minor injuries.

A firefighter and a fire lieutenant were transported to Einstein Hospital with minor injuries as well.

During the fire, a live electrical wire became detached from the back of one home and fell onto a ladder truck. No one was injured, but PECO was called to the scene to turn off the power and remove the wire from the truck.

The fire was brought under control at 4:23 p.m.
