Amtrak train hits deer in Croydon

Amtrak officials say train #111 travelling from New York to Washington was delayed a total of 1 hour and 27 minutes this morning after striking a deer.

It happened about 7:15 a.m. on the R7 tracks just past the Croydon train station in Lower Bucks County.

The train arrived in Washington D.C. at 10:30 this morning.

At the time of the incident there were 127 passengers on board the train. None of the passengers were injured.
