Biden selected the dog from a kennel in Chester County, Pa., earlier this month. The dog is being trained by New Castle County Police Cpl. Mark Tobin, who owns a dog obedience school.
Biden took some heat from animal rights activists for buying Champ from a breeder. He is planning to adopt a second pooch that will come from an animal shelter.
