Double homicide in Egg Harbor Twp.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. - September 30, 2009 The Atlantic County Prosecutor's office says Maryjane Buri-Mulder, 48, and her daughter Paula Mulder, 21, were found shot to death in their home at 804 Scarborough Drive. The home is in The Shires development.

Neighbors tell Action News Mulder had a boyfriend who also lived at the home, but investigators would not confirm that.

Police received a 911 call for shots fired around 3:00 a.m.

Police responded to the scene and both were found dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday evening.

No one has been arrested.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of the Shires between midnight and 3 a.m. to contact the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit at 609-909-7666 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-658-8477 (TIPS).

This isn't the first time The Shires has been in the news. Back in 2006, it was the scene of a murder-for-hire plot.

However, neighbors say it is not a bad place to live.

"It's bizarre, but it all seems to be family related, not like it's gangs or drugs or anything like that," said Mark Santambrogio. "I"m not in fear of my life."
