Liao met with business leaders in both Ohio and Michigan during his trip. He has taken his message around the world in the last several years and even made a presentation at the United Nations.
He says the trees can be planted for less than a dollar each and pay huge dividends worldwide. "If you plant two trillion trees, and that's a lot of trees, you can grow enough food to feed about 12 billion people. You can restore land that has been degraded back to forests and you can increase the wealth of local peoples," says Laio.
And a huge honor for Liao as he will be speaking at the upcoming Technology Entertainment and Design Conference in Los Angeles. Actor Jeremy Irons will be part of his presentation.
