Sacramento police say 29-year-old Ka Yang killed the child in March after she placed the baby inside a microwave. Investigators found fourth-degree burn marks on the baby.
After an investigation by the coroner's office, police say the child died from burns to tissue. Police plan to file murder charges against Yang soon.
