NJ police shoot, kill 2 pit bulls

HIGHLAND PARK, N.J. - September 15, 2011

Mayor Stephen Nolan told The Home News Tribune of East Brunswick officers opened fire Wednesday because the one pit bull wouldn't release the smaller dog and the other made a threatening move toward the police.

No people were attacked or injured.

Town officials are investigating to determine whether to bring charges against the owner of the pit bulls.
