Acid reflux is common in children with asthma. Doctors studied about 300 children and teenagers. Half took Prevacid each day. The others received dummy pills. Researchers say asthma symptoms didn't improve in either group.
The children taking Prevacid were more likely to suffer from bronchitis, colds and sore throats.
