Black History Month event unveils $137,000 project renovations at local recreation center

The $137,000 project included a new gym floor, scoreboard, and improved accessibility.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Black History Month Celebration was held Saturday in Philadelphia's Cedarbrook section to celebrate a special tribute.

The event happened on the 7700 block of Mansfield Avenue at the Finley Recreation Center.

There was also a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the facility's newly renovated gymnasium.

The $137,000 project included a new gym floor, scoreboard, and improved accessibility.
