Police: Thieves steal $2,000 worth of jeans from Center City Bloomingdale's Outlet

A group of men stole thousands of dollars worth in jeans.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of jeans from a Center City department store Tuesday night.

The theft occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. at Bloomingdale's, The Outlet Store at The Shops at Liberty Place at 16th and Chestnut streets.

Police say a group of nine men wearing ski masks ran into the store and ransacked the clothing racks.

The thieves fled with 20 to 30 pairs of jeans worth approximately $2,000.

The suspects fled east on Chestnut from 17th Street.

Police are working to gather surveillance video.

The value of the jeans was originally estimated at $4,000.
