WASHINGTON, D.C. (WPVI) -- A beloved Delaware Valley staple is now open for business in Washington, DC.
Wawa opened its first location in the nation's capital Thursday.
The new store is the company's largest yet.
Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan Boyle was on hand for the opening.
Lines stretched down the block, filled with many transplants from our region.
Some customers joked that the new Wawa could invite the kind of bi-partisan cooperation that DC needs.
Customers will get free coffee at the location through the weekend.
