CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- The driver of an SUV crashed into a Camden, New Jersey home with children inside late Thursday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Haddon Avenue near Spruce Street.

Neighbor China B Jones told Action News the driver was speeding down Spruce before she crashed into the house, which is split into split into two apartments.

After the impact with the home, witnesses say the woman got out of the SUV and started walking around.

"I came outside and the lady's truck was inside the building...she walked away," neighbor Edward Wilson said.

Kenneth Norman says he lives in the home with his mom and three young siblings.

"They're holding up, I guess," Norman said.

Nobody inside the home was injured. Residents are only allowed to go inside to get belongings and then they must find another to place to live.

Police say the driver suffered injuries, but her condition is unknown.
