1 dead after car plows into tree in Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (WPVI) -- One person is dead after a car plowed into a tree in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

The crash happened around midnight Saturday on the Mount Holly by-pass near the intersection of Parkers Mill Boulevard.

The driver lost control and the car struck a tree, trapping him inside.

Medics took the driver to Virtua Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
