PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Connor Barwin can't wait for training camp.

After all, he's coming off what he calls the best offseason he's ever been a part of.

"I just felt really good about the gains that we all made as a team during that 10 week period. I feel very good going into training camp. We're healthy, I'm healthy. I'm excited," Barwin said.

And he's not the only one.

On Tuesday, Barwin reported to camp of a different kind.

It was his first ever Football ProCamp for kids from 1st to 8th grade.

"It takes me back to when I was a kid. I never went to a camp with a professional athlete. I never met a professional athlete when I was a kid. So it's something I would've dreamed to do," Barwin said.

It's pretty special that he can now fulfill those dreams of some future NFL hopefuls.

"It's really awesome seeing him and to get to do a lot of stuff with him," 6-year-old Michael Hotch said.

"I want to be like a defensive man. I want to beat people up like crazy," 8-year-old Rishi Jani said.

Rishi says Coach Connor doesn't beat people up like that, though, "he's really nice."

Barwin had a special message for the kids - they could be great at anything they choose to do.

"To be a great student, to be a great football player, to be a great friend, all you should do is try to be better than you were the day before," Barwin said.

And because of Barwin, you can bet these kids are.
