Deadly crash shuts down road in Westville, N.J.

WESTVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A motorist has died after a vehicle slammed into an asphalt tanker truck in Gloucester County.

It happened at 3:00 a.m. Monday on Almonesson Road at Delsea Drive in Westville.

Police say the motorist rear-ended the tanker.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Almonesson Road was shut down at Delsea Drive for several hours as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
