SPRINGFIELD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are on the scene of a head-on crash in Springfield Township, Burlington County.
It happened at 12:40 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Route 206.
Authorities tell Action News two vehicles collided, injuring three people.
One person was said to be trapped in the wreckage.
Images from Chopper 6 HD showed two vehicles, a red SUV and a white sedan, with extensive damage and debris littering the road.
The SUV had left the road and was in some brush adjacent to the highway.
A medical helicopter was standing by a short distance away.
First responders were seen transferring a person on a stretcher from a rescue vehicle into the chopper.
There was no immediate word what led to the crash.
