Freight train strikes, kills pedestrian in Newark

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Newark police are investigating a fatal accident involving a person struck by a train Monday morning.

It happened just before 8 a.m. on the CSX freight train tracks in the area behind the 100 block of Madison Drive.

Officials said the crash will not impact Amtrak train service.
