Drunk driver accused of having 8-year-old drive car for him

DARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- A western Pennsylvania man is accused of getting drunk and having an 8-year-old girl drive his car for him.

Police in Darlington Township say two bystanders noticed the car moving recklessly and called 911.

The child reportedly told police that the man, who is a family friend, was trying to get her to drive to Ohio.

Authorities say Kevin Cook was too drunk to perform a sobriety test.

The 24-year-old is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving under the influence and driving without a license.
