On Saturday night our very own meteorologist Melissa Magee will be one of 12 local celebrities dancing for charity and a mirror ball trophy.

It's called Dancing for Our Future Stars, and Melissa and her pro partner are rehearsing big time, hoping for a big win!

"Melissa is a very quick study... It seems like she's been dancing forever," so says her professional partner, Roger Lee.

As a matter of fact, it's something Melissa has wanted to do forever.

She says, "Before I ventured into the world of television, I wanted to be, when I was an itty-bitty girl, I wanted to be a dancer."

Her professional partner, Roger Lee, is an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Temple University.

He came up with two sizzling numbers to send them straight to the leaderboard Saturday night

Melissa tells us, "He's choreographed a bit of modern jazz with some kind of electric feels - I'm just going to leave it at that. But we've got a bit of a surprise for the audience coming up with this competition."

They are dancing for our future stars, and raising money for Independence Mission Schools - a nonprofit benefiting local schools.

And Melissa has her eye on the prize!

"I'm so competitive. So yes, I want to help out the kids. But I kind of want to take home a trophy and represent 6abc, you know what I'm saying," Melissa said.

Melissa is competing against other local stars like District Attorney Seth Williams.
