PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Pat Sajak and Vanna White been on the air for 33 years and the famous TV duo has had an action-packed few days in Philadelphia.

"Wheel of Fortune" has been in the area shooting segments for the upcoming Philly Week - which will shine a big spotlight on the City of Brotherly Love.

"It's been great to be here, what a great city this is," said White.

Over the past few days, you may have spotted the duo's familiar - and famous faces all around Philadelphia.

"They squire us around to all of the hot spots and restaurants and tourist attractions," said Sajak. "It's a great way to expose the whole country to the great things in Philadelphia."

From historic areas like Headhouse Square to a tour inside Reading Terminal Market, Sajak says: "There will be Philadelphia spread all over your screen kind of like Philadelphia cream cheese!"

The hosts even happily shared a famous Philly cheesesteak on the corner - somewhere between Pats and Genos.

They also went to the Italian Market at Ralph's, which is the oldest Italian restaurant in the country, and over to East Passyunk to the French restaurant Townsend.

"The eating is a pretty good deal too. It's one of the great things about the city and we get to go to restaurants and try out food and pretend we are working," said Sajak.

With a few other stops along the way, they wrapped up their visit by stopping to see the 6abc Zoo Balloon at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Pat and Vanna tell Action News they have a soft spot for Philadelphia. When "Wheel of Fortune" went on the air back in 1983, Philly was the first big city to air the show.

"And you have been with us from the beginning. It was a big hit here from the beginning and helped get it sold around the country, so Philly helped get 'Wheel' started," said Sajak.

The show's special Philly Week will air later this season.

You can watch "Wheel of Fortune" weekdays at 7:30 p.m. on 6abc.
