PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- For most couples, the proposal is a private yet special moment. Meet the local couple whose proposal has been seen by thousands after it was caught on Action News.

"I was like totally shocked," said Mary Eisenhart.

Eisenhart is a bride-to-be. After two and half years of dating, her fiancee Chris Sante popped the question.

"I'd already picked out the ring and was ready to go with everything," said Sante.

The proposal happened at Logan Square and what seemed like a moment just between the two of them has now become quite the talker on the internet.

6abc photographer Dan Sheridan was taking a walk around the fountain at Logan Circle when he spotted a man hiding in the bushes with a camera.

It turns out it was Chris' brother, Mike, recording the proposal for a family keepsake.

"I had no idea. I said, 'Are you shooting a proposal?' He said, 'Yeah," said Sheridan.

Sheridan then grabbed his camera to help out, in hopes of giving the couple a professionally shot video of the special moment.

"I knew at that moment something cool was happening, something special was going on," said Sheridan.

A quick clip of the couple's big moment then ran on Action News on Friday night during the closing credits, capturing the couple's excitement and Einsenhart saying yes!

"He asked me and I've been on cloud nine ever since," she said.

From there people began to ask: who is the lucky couple?

Action News posted the moment on our 6abc Facebook page which helped in eventually tracking the couple down.

The video already has more 3,800 likes on our Facebook page and has been viewed more 50,000 times on our website.

"I think it's so nice that the greatest moment of my life is shared with everybody," said Eisenhart.

It was a wedding proposal planned for weeks that now has a little something extra to add to the story.

"For our whole lives we've had this great story, now we can tell everyone like, 'Oh how did you two get engaged?' Well we were on the news," said Sante.

No word yet on a wedding date for the newly engaged couple.
