Police responded to a thrift shop in the Kensington section of Philadelphia where two hand grenades were found.

Police responded to a thrift shop in the Kensington section of Philadelphia where two hand grenades were found.

The incident happened before 9:00 a.m. Saturday on the 2900 block of Kensington Avenue at the Village Thrift Store.

A female employee found the grenades in a plastic bag and called police.

Police say the devices turned out to be hollowed out and not live. The C-9 devices were not explosive.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
