FRUITPORT TWP., MI. (WPVI) -- Over a thousand rats are scurrying around a condemned home in Michigan.
The woman who owns the house in Fruitport Township called it Christine's Critter Caf, a rescue for animals.
The township ordered it to close in May because of the colony of about 1500 domestic rats.
The owner says the rats had been dropped off at the rescue and they multiplied.
The other animals that were being cared for at the Critter Caf - 40 rabbits and 18 cats - were moved out.
