Flames forced a family of four to leave their Chester Township, Pennsylvania home early Thursday morning.

CHESTER TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Flames forced a family of four out of their home in Chester Township early Thursday.

The fast-moving fire broke out before 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Engle Street.

Firefighters arrived to heavy flames shooting from a second floor front bedroom.

It took them more than half an hour to get the fire under control.

The family inside the house made it out safely. They are staying with relatives.

There was no immediate word what may have sparked the blaze.

The fire is under investigation.
