Ali Gorman reports.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Federal researchers say the vaccine to reduce Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is working very well.

The vaccine was introduced ten years ago to fight the sexually transmitted virus which can cause cervical cancer.

Since then, researchers say, it has reduced the virus in teenage girls by nearly two-thirds.

It has also cut the number of cases in women in their early 20's.
