MANTUA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities say the body of a 58-year-old Deptford man was discovered in the Mantua Creek.

The discovery was made Sunday afternoon near the Route 45 overpass in Mantua Township, Gloucester County.

The victim has been identified as Theodore Smith III of Deptford.

Smith was first reported missing by his wife earlier Sunday.

He had last been seen leaving the Telford Inn on Saturday night. Authorities say he told an employee there that he was walking home.

Smith lived about a half mile from where he was found.

Police say no foul play is suspected.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
