5-pound avocado found in Hawaii might be new world record

HAWAII (WPVI) -- An avocado found in Hawaii may have broken a Guinness World Record.

KGO-TV reports, the massive avocado was found by Paula Wang during her morning walk.

The avocado weighs in at five pounds. Wang submitted her find to the folks at Guinness and hopes to hear back soon.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the heaviest avocado is 4.8-pounds and was found in Venezuela.
