TACONY -- All lanes of I-95 South have reopened after an 11-vehicle pileup in Philadelphia's Tacony section.

The crash happened in the left lane around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday near the Cottman Avenue exit.

Chopper 6 HD was overhead as an 11-vehicle pileup slowed traffic on I-95 South at Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia's Tacony section.

Several cars rear-ended one another in a chain-reaction crash, the size of which is rarely seen on the busy interstate.

Police and medics were called to the scene.

There were no reports of serious injuries.

Traffic was backed up for miles approaching the scene.

The cars were moved and all lanes of traffic reopened by 6:45 a.m.
