Nazareth teachers reach tentative deal, averting strike

NAZARETH, Pa. -- Teachers in the eastern Pennsylvania borough of Nazareth have averted plans to strike.

A tentative agreement has been reached with teachers who had planned to walk off the job on Friday.

The Nazareth Area Education Association will be presenting a proposal to teachers early next week.

They have been working without a contract since August.
