GLASGOW, Del. (WPVI) -- One person has died following an accident near a New Castle County shopping center.
The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. Thursday along Glasgow Avenue, near the Peoples Plaza shopping center in Glasgow.
Delaware State Police say 84-year-old Howard M. Bock of Newark was operating a 1992 Nissan NX, exiting the parking lot of Peoples Plaza onto eastbound Glasgow Avenue.
30-year-old Rachel K. Hamill of Newark was behind the wheel of a 2006 Ford Fusion travelling southbound on Glasgow Avenue when Bock's Nissan pulled directly into the path of her car.
Bock was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center where he later died.
Hamill was transported to Christiana Medical Center where she was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident, but say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
