7 injured in crash involving 6 vehicles on I-495 SB in Del.

MINQUADLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Seven people were injured after a crash involving six vehicles on Interstate 495 southbound in New Castle County.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes near the Terminal Avenue exit in Minquadale, Delaware.

Police on the scene said one of the victims was hit, and then trapped between two cars after getting out of their car to check on the damage.

Investigators said on Monday that no life-threatening injuries were reported.

Part of the highway was closed following the crash, but it has since reopened.
