PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A new study suggests autism rates in New Jersey have dramatically increased for preschoolers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study says within the past four years the number of four-year-olds listed on the autism spectrum went up by 43%.

This means one in 35 children have been diagnosed.

The reason behind the rate increase is still up for debate.
