Driver crashes off Route 55 in Maurice River Township

MAURICE RIVER TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Route 55 is closed after a driver went off the road in Maurice River Township, Cumberland County.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday near Schooner Landing Road.

A vehicle could be seen in a wooded area by the road.

One person was reportedly trapped inside.

Delays are expected in the area
