1 person escapes house fire in West Philly

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person escaped a 3-story house blaze in West Philadelphia early Saturday morning, officials say.

The blaze broke out around 3:10 a.m. along the 5400 block of Master Street.

Firefighters quickly went to work on dousing the flames.

It took them about fifteen minutes to get the blaze under control.

One person was able to escape safely from the building.

There were no reports of injuries.

Investigators say there were no smoke detectors in the home.
